Project Updates: Fencing Events across Newcastle and the Hunter Region in 2017

event fencing

The Christmas and New Year period is always a busy time for the Hire Rite Temporary Fence team. Not only are we in the middle of storm season, which always keeps us on our toes, but it also happens to be a peak time for events. That’s not to say there hasn’t been some cracker events to take place throughout the year. Check out some of the events we’ve had the pleasure of being involved in this year.

Merewether Beach – Surfest 2017

Merewether Beach turned on perfect weather for Surfest this year. The event drew a large crowd and we had the pleasure of installing temporary fence at the site for the event.

Installing temporary fencing to the site not only controls the crowds but it protects the public from injury by ensuring they stay a safe distance away from the area.

As expected, lots of action took place and having temporary fencing in place ensured no onlookers were injured by flying boards.

Bitter and Twisted Festival

Installing fencing ready for the Bitter and Twisted Festival

The weather was not so perfect for the Bitter and Twisted festival but that didn’t stop beer lovers from living it up at the annual Bitter and Twisted festival at Maitland Gaol this year.

Running for more than 10 years, this event is a firm favourite attracting over 4300 people across the weekend.

Partial to some amber liquid ourselves, the Hire Rite Temporary Fence team were honoured to set up temporary fencing around the site to keep revellers in and secure for the weekend.

With a great line-up of artists playing some great tunes and over 80 craft beers to choose from, the event was destined to be a crowd favourite and despite less than ideal weather, the event did not disappoint.

Tuff Truck Challenge Australia

The Tuff Truck Challenge saw a gathering of 4WD extremists battle it out to become ultimate 4WD champions in a three-day test of skill and endurance. Teams push both themselves and their vehicles to the limit as they navigate courses consisting of rock, mud, giant tyres, huge holes and other extreme terrains.

This event started in 2001 and has become one of the biggest events for Australian 4WD enthusiasts. Regardless of whether you are participating or you’re simply a spectator, this event doesn’t fail to entertain.

Not sure if we’re up for the challenge of extreme 4WDing, but we are certainly up for the challenge of securing the event with temporary event fencing.

Our crew were on site nice and early to get the fencing in place to make sure attendees were kept in, non-attendees were kept out and everyone was kept safe… Well, as safe as extreme 4WDing can get!
