For anyone who has little tackers, January means school holiday fun! Around this time of year, Mother Nature usually turns out some fantastic weather, the kids have an abundance of energy, and all that’s needed is some entertainment and their good to go!
Transport NSW and Revitalising Newcastle were happy to help out in the entertainment department and hosted a free event that was guaranteed to burn energy and keep Newcastle kiddies, both young and old, entertained for hours.
Skate and Scoot – Wheeler Place, Newcastle
Located at Wheeler place, the Scoot and Skate event saw hundreds of children make their way to the city centre with their scooters, skates and skateboards in tow to let loose and make the most of their school holidays.
The free skate and scooter park was in place for three days and proved to be great entertainment for the kids of all ages and skill levels. Skate and scooter competitions were also organised giving the kids a chance to win some great prizes.
Hire Rite Temporary Fence are proud be involved in the many public events organised in Newcastle and around the Hunter Region and the Skate and Scoot event was no different. We were more than happy to set up temporary crowd barriers to keep everyone involved contained, secure and safe while seeing some pretty swift moves from the kids of Newcastle in the process.
