We are always honoured to play our part in projects that improve our community and make an impact on people’s lives. And one of these projects recently was the Aboriginal Centre for Excellence.
Aboriginal Centre for Excellence Whalan – Pacific Services Group (PSG)
Hire Rite was engaged to supply and install temporary construction fencing to the perimeter of the former Whalan High School site in Western Sydney before work commenced constructing the new Aboriginal Centre for Excellence.
The centre, once complete, will offer programs and support services to Aboriginal young people wanting to further their education and expand their employment opportunities after leaving high school.
This $20 million project is being undertaken by Award-winning construction company – Pacific Services Group who could not have been a better fit for the project owing to the fact they are an Aboriginal owned construction company and 35% of the company’s employees are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders.
Funding for this centre was allocated in 2015, so this project has been a long time coming. It was good to finally see work commence on the site and we can’t wait to see the completion of this project very soon.
